We're here to support you.
PMHCA in conjunction with our sister organization The Pennsylvania Peer Support Coalition (PaPSC) have demonstrated a truly peer-run environment and have been awarded The Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) Region 5 Recovery Hub Grant, which started July 1, 2023. The Region 5 Recovery Hub will serve 13 counties: Adams, Bedford, Blair, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lebanon, Mifflin, Perry, and York.
We are in the process of creating our second strategic plan for Region 5. In order to do so effectively, we are hosting listening sessions for every county in the region. The sessions are scheduled through September 2025 and once completed, the strategic plan for the next year will be presented to DDAP and the Region 5 stakeholders. The listening sessions and the strategic plan will be our guide to ensure that the Region 5 Recovery Hub focuses on what the community believes is most important for recovery, support, and safety for all.
PMHCA is a statewide membership non-profit organization dedicated to assisting anyone seeking treatment or support for a mental illness, regardless of where they are in the process of healing. We advocate, educate, and promote recovery in all forms and individuals can also receive training from PMHCA in subjects like specialized peer support, LGBTQIA+ Issues, mental health advanced directives, trauma, and other topics. Supporting individuals through their unique recovery journeys is something PMHCA has been doing since our inception. We believe that human beings need to be treated through the whole health lens and we focus on making that clear in all the work we do.
