The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) brings together young leaders from across Pennsylvania to elevate youth voice, inform systems change, and strengthen mental health advocacy.

What Is the Youth Advisory Council?

The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a statewide group of youth and young adults who use their lived experience and leadership skills to guide PMHCA initiatives and advocate for positive systems change.

Council members collaborate on projects, provide feedback on policy and programming, and work to ensure youth voice is meaningfully included in mental health conversations throughout Pennsylvania.

What Council Members Do

Advise

Provide input on programs, policy, and initiatives impacting youth mental health.

Advocate

Support statewide advocacy efforts and promote youth-driven change.

Lead

Develop leadership skills while collaborating with peers and partners.

Connect

Build relationships with youth leaders across Pennsylvania.

The Youth Advisory Council is led by co-chairs who help guide meetings, support member engagement, and represent youth voice across PMHCA and Youth MOVE PA efforts.

Who Can Join?

Youth and young adults who are passionate about mental health advocacy and interested in creating positive change across Pennsylvania.

Members should be willing to collaborate, participate in meetings, and contribute to ongoing initiatives.
